A former army helicopter pilot recalled how his recover from a war injury only began once his family had the chance to come visit and nurture him. In 2006 he developed a nationwide plan  of over 1,000 volunteers to help wounded soldiers recover with from devastation and serious injuries with their families by their side.

Pilots donate their time to fly families to see their loved ones during devastating times.
